Summer Fun at Immanuel!
How did you celebrate the Fourth of July? We had a whole week of fun activities to complement our learning about Independence Day!

First, we spread glue on the surface of the suncatcher.
Then, we covered them with tissue paper in primary colors. When the primary colors overlapped, they created secondary colors!

We picked leaves from our own garden and used a roller to cover the leaves in ink.
Then we pressed the leaves onto the rocks to leave the impressions.

We melted the Crisco in the microwave.
The children enjoyed smelling and feeling the fresh rosemary.

We measured the batter into our cups, then added a few drops of food coloring.
We gently swirled the batter with toothpicks to create the marbled effect.

We picked squash to sauté with butter. We also picked herbs to press and dry. We will use the dried herbs in the Montessori classroom this fall!
