Apples, Pumpkins, Butterflies and More.
Our classroom shelves are bursting with exciting lessons!!! We’ve been learning about apples and pumpkins. We made apple and pumpkin prints, splatter painted big pumpkins, and drip painted decorative ones. We even carved the pumpkins, scooped up their seeds to roast and eat them…YUM! Did we mention that we got to make our own applesauce from scratch and pumpkin pies with fresh pulp?!!! One day, we fixed pumpkin French toast…The whole school smelled so good:). Did you know that Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian artist who painted human portraits with fruits, vegetables, animals and objects?!!! We matched and traced a lot of his artwork! Our Monarch butterfly came out of its chrysalis…It was a lot of fun to let it go in nature. We continued to work with our Fall lessons. We made pretty leaf suncatchers and leaf prints:).
