Presidents’ Day, Valentine’s and Winter Fun -Sykesville-
Don’t you like how we look in Washington’s wig?! We had a lot of fun celebrating Presidents’ Day…We pretended to be George Washington and had some delicious hoe cakes that we fixed ourselves with honey and tea:). YUM! We also listened to Washington’s Cherry Tree Myth! Have you seen the gorgeous cherry trees we painted?! The shelves in our classrooms were filled with delightful Valentine’s and winter lessons:). We used puffy paint to make snowmen that we decorated with buttons, hats, pompoms and sticks! Did you know that you can make edible snowflakes with tortillas, brush them with butter and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon?! To make non-edible snow flakes, we crystalized borax! How cool!
