Animals in Winter -Sykesville-

Did you know that some animals go to sleep for the whole winter?! They hibernate…Some animals migrate to warmer places while others adapt to their environments. Our hibernation tray is so cool, isn’t it?! We sorted pictures of animals according to their behavior in winter time. It was a lot of fun to make animal footprints in artificial snow! Our sensory bins were filled with ice sculptures and a lot of sea animals…A story teller visited our school with his puppy penguin:). We also made animal track molds with play dough, and filled them with Plaster of Paris…When the plaster dried, we got the tracks out of their molds and painted them:). Our classrooms had lovely stencils that we used to paint even more tracks!!! Wait, that’s not it! We had more fun making animal track snacks and yogurt bark with honey and blueberries:). YUMMY:). Happy Birthday to Carly and Colbie:).
