MLK and Winter Fun -Sykesville-
We had a lot of fun learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy…The shelves in our classrooms were filled with beautiful lessons that symbolize peace, diversity and love. We used white, yellow and brown to make paper chains, finger paint, create charming art and fix delicious pudding:). To celebrate winter, we made ice luminaries! Aren’t they cool?! We also melted marshmallows to make edible snowmen and shook half and half with sugar and vanilla in bags full of ice and rock salt to make ice cream:). YUM! Have you seen our crystal snow flakes?! We soaked our pipe cleaner snow flakes in a solution of borax that we prepared ourselves. The next day, we were so excited to see the crystals! Winter is a lot of fun at our school:).
