Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s -Primary- Taylorsville
It has been our school’s tradition for many years to have the children fix themselves hoe cakes and enjoy them with tea to celebrate Presidents’ Day:). Apparently, that’s what George Washington had for breakfast back in the days:). The children also listened to the myth of Washington’s cherry tree and painted beautiful cherry trees. Our classroom shelves were filled with other lessons about our Presidents! One of the lessons allowed the children to match pictures of the presidents on coins and money bills to the corresponding figurines! As for Valentine’s, the children made their own pan cakes with strawberries and powdered sugar, and created various charming art with hearts:). Happy Birthday, Adam!
